関係代名詞thatが使えないパターン

前置詞の直後に、関係代名詞thatは使えない。

〇Topics about which he was not an expert.
×Topics about that he was not an expert.

先行詞Topicsはモノなので、目的格の関係代名詞としては、whichとthatのどちらも使えるが、前置詞aboutが存在するため、thatを使ってはダメとなる。
